These are some of the energies associated with Gemini: agile, versatile, inquisitive, flowing, conversational, airy, youthful, and having many ideas. Gemini can also be volatile, superficial, changeable, restless and inconsistent.
These are some of the energies associated with Leo -
Self-confident, generous, warm-hearted, powerful leader, dramatic. Can be overly proud, vain, extravagant, and arrogant.
These are some of the energies associated with Virgo -
Meticulous, discriminating, pure, practical, health conscious, hard working. Can also tend be hyper-critical, petty and perfectionistic.

Scores: Fire 7; Earth 4; Air 4; Water 3
Fire is a Yang or Masculine element. It denotes enthusiasm, dynamism, spontaneity, and (sadly) the possibility of a lack of reflection. Showing up strong in the element of Fire, you may tend to be a highly-motivated person with many goals and aspirations for the future.

You are likely vital and spontaneous, often enjoying the challenge of traveling down new and adventurous roads in your life. Your wonderful sense enthusiasm can be irrepressible at times. Your main weakness may however lie in your tendency to exaggerate and in your inability to cope with all the more mundane activities in life.

Scores: Cardinal 3; Fixed 9; Mutable 6
The Fixed signs are: Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus. Fixed denotes wanting to remain stable and security. The basic essence of fixed signs is growth and being motivated by adapting to internal forces.

Barring other factors in the chart, you don't particularly enjoy change. You expect others to be reliable and steadfast like yourself. One of your biggest problems can be that of getting stuck. You know, there ARE times when you need to give it up and go on.

Scores: 1st 0; 2nd 0; 3rd 0; 4th 3; 5th 2; 6th 6; 7th 2; 8th 2; 9th 1; 10th 0; 11th 0; 12th 2
The Fourth House is about home and family. It describes your roots, your heritage and your private life.
The Sixth House is about day to day life. It's a very practical house. It is about focusing on small areas of expertise. It is about work, health, the service you give and your habits. This house also traditionally relates to small animals.

Scores: 1st Quadrant 0; 2nd Quadrant 11; 3rd Quadrant 5; 4th Quadrant 2
The planets in this quadrant will highlight the areas of life in which you want to express yourself. I call this Quadrant the "Lover Quadrant;" and the archetype of the Lover features strongly in your life and in your actions. You are receptive to other people and sensitive to the undercurrents involved in relationships.

Scores: Eastern 2; Northern 11; Western 16; Southern 7
Your interactions with other people tend to take on a dominant role in your life. You gain satisfaction through your personal relationships and interacting with your friends. You probably have a gift for mediating in your relationships; this is because you possess insight into the subtler nuances of relationships. You tend to learn the most about yourself reflecting your ideas off the people you're involved with in relationships. Take care not to get stuck in stifling relationships.

Hang on now! You don't want to skip over this short and sweet, but significant, description of the Soli-Lunar cycle based on the insights of astrologer, Dane Rudhyar.

You were born during the 3rd phase of the Moon, when the Moon was from 90 to 45 degrees behind the Sun.

As a Third Quarter Moon Soli-Lunar type, you tend to have strong beliefs and are likely to put them into action. You usually have the wisdom to know when to act, but there are times when you can be a wee bit too inflexible. Fighting for a cause, despite any and all costs, can at times become a problem for you.

With airy Aquarius as your Ascendant guide on your journey - barring other factors in the chart - your approach to life is gregarious and unconventional, original and objective. You view life from an intellectual stance. The ruler of your Ascendant is the planet Uranus. Along with the Sun, the Moon, and the Ascendant Sign - the ruling planet of your Ascendant will play an "enhanced role" in your life. So check this report out for any interpretation texts regarding Uranus' sign placement, house placement, and other planets which aspect Uranus. There will be a fuller description of your Ascendant later in this report.

The handling of your personal money and possessions don't tend to be your strongest suit. You may feel confused about money matters and thus may experience some difficulty in making ends meet. You value your sense of compassion and spirituality and this in turn may reflect how and what you tend to spend your money on.

You may tend to be a fast and forceful talker. You may be generally much better at initiating ideas and communications, rather than the actual follow through with the little day to day details.

You tend to be a reliable, responsible, and rock steady family member. You value your home and family. And you're probably the one who enjoys all those family traditions. Your home may reflect your earthy and sensual nature. After all - homes are made for comfort... Heck! If you can't relax and be comfortable in your own home, then where can you relax?

You are likely a wee bit of a trickster when it comes to play, romance, and risky business. You may like to play, especially games that amuse your quick-thinking mind.

You like to take care of and nurture loved ones on a daily basis and in a practical way. You may find that routine and daily activities are comforting and make you feel emotionally safe.

You are an enthusiastic and generous partner. You like to have fun in your relationships and get bored if they lack life and romance. You need to have attention from your loved one. Or in the reverse, these may be the characteristics you (project and) admire in your partners.

You like to have an excellent sense of clarity when it comes to shared resources and other people's money, knowing the exact details of any contracts. You are also likely very conscious of the need for cleanliness in sexual relationships.

You enjoy traveling and studying with your partner. You enjoy egalitarian, democratic, classless philosophies of life.

You have the Fixed Water of Scorpio on the cusp of your 10th house of Social Persona (how society sees you) - thus you have an intense need for recognition in your work and/or in your social standing.

You like to be known for your ability to 'dig deep' into whatever you do. You may unconsciously attract crises at work. Research and resources often feature strongly in your career.

You are likely an enthusiastic and fun-loving friend. You prefer traveling and/or exploring the world with your friends, or with groups of people to share it with. You like to set your own personal goals for the future.

You are likely to inhibit and ignore your inner urges, and could even be a wee bit paranoid. You need to reconcile yourself with those parts of yourself from which you have cut yourself off from. (Did this description confuse you? I know it confused me.)

Psst! Hey, you! Come over here! (Yeah, that means you!) Pay close attention for a minute, because the Sun is the very heart of your natal chart. Of course, the Sun’s zodiac sign placement is probably the one part of your birth chart which you were already at least quasi-aware of (unless you happen to be one of those folks born at the very beginning or end of a sign). Think for a second about some of the concepts generally associated with the energies of the Sun: Glowing, warmth, powerful, dependable, shining, cheery, life-giving, new growth, fiery, new beginnings, sunshine, bright skies, center of our galaxy,

In mythology, the Sun is further associated with the great sky god, the Great Father (as well as our own earthly father), gold and other treasures. In the birth chart, the Sun symbolizes the role of the Hero and the Royal Ruler... and the Sun is the main character in your adventure and quest through this lifetime. The Sun reflects those heartfelt energies which need to be explored, developed and experienced in order for you to be more fully, wholly "you." But not everyone lets their Sun shine out. The Sun's energies are consciously developed over the course of a lifetime.

Leoian energy -- motivated by inspiration and aspiration! Spontaneity! Ready for encounter! Fire on the mountain! Fire energy can be warm, vital, vivacious, cheerful and loyal to whatever happens to hold its interest. Fire energy craves freedom and opportunity and yep, a steady stream of opportunity for new experiences. Fire energy can be assertive, competitive, ambitious and full of confidence for the future. Fire energy learns best when actively engaging in and grabbing hold of life. Fire loves adventure and hates routine!

I suppose you’ve heard the phrase, "Fake it, till you make it!" Well, Leoian energy builds self-confidence, by putting on demonstrations and shows of bravado. By acting self-confident, Leoian energy becomes self-confident in truth as well as deed.

As fixed fire, Leoian energy is much more self-reflective and inner-directed than the average person might ever suspect. Although, since you’re reading this description, it means your Sun is placed in Leo and that morsel of insightful information shouldn’t be much of a revelation. Over the years you’ve learned that, first and foremost, you have to be able to live with and please yourself. You have the strong, burning inner-desire for self-authenticity. So, "to thine own self be true" could be another really good Leoian motto.

Ruled the Sun, creative Leoian energy is colored by an overall strong sense of drama and "bigness." Leo sees the "big picture" of possibilities for the future and for success.

Playful, creative, generous, warm-hearted, and risk-taking are all characteristics common to Leonians who are living out the fullest potential of their birth sun placement.

With the Sun in Leo, this fiery, energetic attitude may have been the way you perceived the image of your father (or another significant male figure) when you were young and still in the early stages of childhood.

Your birth Sun is the hero of your mythic journey through this lifetime. So Let Your Light Shine!

Leo and Love (written to share with your mate, if you dare)
Like Neil Young, are you still searching for that "heart of gold?" Do you enjoy big romance, big drama, big talk, and big fun? Then look no farther than regal, larger than life, Leo. Leo is the royal cat's meow and the roaring King of the Jungle!

Life is one big marvelous Shakespearean play for your romantic, warm hearted, and generous Leo lover - and all the world is Leo's stage. Your Leo lover usually prides him or herself in being a magnificent and romantic lover - complete with sweeping gestures of emotional splendor. And here's a big plus, barring other factors in the chart, your Leo lover is usually very good with children.

"To thine own self be true!" Self-authentication is the driving force behind your Leo lover. Self-authentication is just a fancy way of saying, "being able to live with yourself, and taking full responsibility over your own actions." To understand this need for self-authentication, and it's archetypal pattern, one need only look to the mythic "Search For The Holy Grail."

Often times, early in life, a young Leo is handed the Grail on a silver platter. Unfortunately, the young Leo loses the Grail due to the foolishness and imprudence of youth. Then, the rest of Leo's life becomes the grand adventure of the valiant hero who must fight and slay quite a few dragons in order to rightfully reclaim the lost treasure of the Grail. (A good example is Grand old Leo Sun, David Crosby - who through years of youthful foolishness, pride, drug addiction, and other great adversity - has now finally healed his wound, reclaimed his Grail, and become a shining, marvelous King!)

Shadow: Shadow? Shadow? What shadow? Ruled by the vital, life-giving Sun, everything about royal Leo is an absolutely wonderful and marvelous adventure. Well, maybe there are a couple of things I could mention...

Ever been to the southern California Mojave Desert during the hot summer month of August. Ever been to Big Bend, Texas in August? I have, and I know for a fact that even the wonderful, vital, life-giving energies of the Sun can scorch, singe, and dry up good old Mother Earth.

Just keep a few things in mind… that Leo enjoys having someone they can dress up real nice, take to town, and show off... that Leo enjoys a partner who will continually pump up and praise Leo's larger than life ego... that Leo has a thing about being with being flirtatious when it comes to attractive members of the opposite sex, but his (or her) royal highness Leo won't tolerate the same behavior when coming from his or her partner. Apparently, Leo hasn't heard the old saying: "Turn about is fair play."

Finally, know that it's every young male Leo's fantasy to be surrounded by his large pride of loyal lionesses. Some Leo males choose to live out this fantasy in a literal way. Many wisely choose not to.

Traditional astrology says that daily routine, health and work are the areas in which you shine. You're also supposed to learn life's lessons through your ability to serve. I happen to have the Sun in the 6th house. And most of time, this doesn't describe me all that well (or perhaps it does and I just can't bring myself to admit it).

I find that the 6th house can be experienced in many different ways. The two main ways are materially and mentally. For some with Sun in the 6th house, the traditional view fits pretty well. Others tend to experience the more mental side of this house and have very critical minds (we're usually the most critical with ourselves).

Whether we experience the traditional view or the more mental view - we have this tendency to aim for perfection and always coming up short. Try to ease up a little and give yourself a break.

SQUARE NEPTUNE Orb 3°56' Separating
Here's one of your soul growth challenges from the universe. You are a sensitive and soft person apt to be overwhelmed by your empathy with suffering. You have martyr-like tendencies.

As a child you may have perceived of your father as being a dreamer or perhaps unclear about himself... Your father may be been a substance abuser and you may have the same tendency. On the other hand - you may have idealized your father.

With Sun-Neptune there is often some sort of sacrifice surrounding the father... Sorry I can't be more clear on that... but early in life you may be unclear of your own identity. Try to use your creativity in a positive manner rather than escaping through addictive behavior.

Regardless of whether you're a male or female, the very first love of your life was your mother (or if mom was absent, then another mother figure in your environment). The Moon symbolizes the unconscious, instincts, and what you need to feel nurtured in your life.

With the Moon in Gemini, you have a strong need for mental stimulation and communication. You have an insatiable, irrepressible sense of curiosity, and you seek answers to many questions. Barring other factors in the birth chart, you have a strong tendency to be a "chatterbox." In fact, your friends would probably say you're one of those people who could carry on an interesting conversation with a telephone pole.

The Moon is the "place" where we go for comfort when scared.... and we tend to unconsciously nurture ourselves in much the same way our mothers nurtured and cared for us when we were very young children. As a very young child, you may have expected your mother to provide you with plenty of stimulation, communication, and mental activity.

As an adult, you now feel the safest and most nurtured when actively communicating and sharing information with others. Therefore, when involved in a close friendship or an intimate relationship with a lover - you feel the powerful, emotional need to share and fully communicate with the other person regarding any (and all) of the experiences of the day.

Warning! One of the most hurtful things your partner or "significant other" can do is impatiently, patronizingly rush or hurry you along when you're involved in a conversation with a friend or even a casual acquaintance. (Been there - and, sadly enough, done that...)

Seeing someone new in your life? Feeling especially emotionally vulnerable immediately after the first intimate "encounter" with your new lover? You'll most likely find yourself endlessly quizzing your new lover on exactly how it felt and asking them to communicate in vivid detail what the experience was like for them.

Stressed out by the events of the day? Call up a close friend on the telephone and tell them all about it. Bored to tears? Learn how to do something new, interesting, and mentally stimulating. Here are a couple of hobby suggestions for your chatty self: Join a local amateur thespian group and perform a little Shakespeare in the evenings. Or how about join Toastmasters and practice up on your public speaking skills. Where to go on a vacation? Is there a special place which has always piqued your interest and sense of curiosity?

C.G. Jung wrote, in The Development of Personality, "In every adult there lurks a child-an eternal child, something that is always becoming, is never completed, and calls for unceasing care, attention and education. That is the part of the human personality that wants to develop and become whole."

The Moon is generally a happy camper in this house. With the Moon in this house, your inner-child seeks to nurture itself and gain a sense of security through your family and traditional. The home and family life provide you with emotional sustenance. At home you feel safe.

SEXTILE MERCURY Orb 1°01' Separating
Here's one of your gifts from the universe (if you choose to use it).... you have the opportunity to express your feelings and thoughts in an effective manner. All things being equal, you have the ability to make decisions and choices based on a mix of heart and mind.

TRINE JUPITER Orb 2°29' Separating
You are generous, and good-natured. You make adventurous plans that usually prove successful. You enjoy the company of other people and they usually like to help you in your goals. As an infant you may have perceived your mother being as exuberant and fun-loving. She may have seemed adventurous and exciting. As an adult, these are some of the same qualities you seem to need in your life to feel emotionally nurtured and secure.

SQUARE PLUTO Orb 3°37' Applying
Does it ever seem like each time you manage to get emotionally comfortable and start feeling safe and secure, something "unexpected" happens that (once again) makes your life more emotionally complicated? That's Moon-Pluto! You are likrly intense and emotional. You find yourself caught up in emotional dramas wondering how you will make your life quieter, or if you really want life to be quiet. The answer may be to direct your need for intensity into creative pursuits.

I try to be extra cautious in describing Moon-Pluto aspects because there are so many different possibilities and difficult emotional images arising from this particular combination of archetypal energies. As an infant - in way or another - you may have perceived and tapped into the darker, more intense side of your mother.

There are many different possible scenarios.... but you may have felt in some inexplicable way violated by your mother - or you may have simply tapped into and thus became aware of her depressions and darker moods. Another scenario may be that your mother may have filled you with her many fears.... or in a worse case scenario, she may have fit the archetypal pattern of the emotionally "devouring mother" and used you as an emotional replacement for an inadequate relationship with your father.

SQUARE CHIRON Orb 1°57' Applying
Whoops! It looks like you may have a fair amount difficulty in "coming to terms" with emotional wounds from the past. As a result of this difficulty, you may have to overcome the strong tendency to see yourself in terms of being a "suffering and wounded person."

You feel that you are misunderstood, and this may particularly apply to your own relationship with your mother and/or other maternal figures in your life. Once you have learned how to rise above your pain and emotional wounds, then you can go on to develop the ability to understand, empathize with, and help others. You have the ability (to later in life) become a gifted emotional healer.

Due to your own emotional experiences, you are able to face the painful side of life and share your experiences in a loving manner. With struggle you may learn to feel a deep sense of compassion for the plight's of others.

To the medieval alchemists, Mercury was the metal symbolizing duality - metallic yet liquid , matter yet spirit, cold yet fiery... the metal uniting all the opposites... the substance Mercury only adheres to precious metals; metaphorically Mercury can show us the way to find spiritual gold... Trickster, Traveler, Guide of Souls....

Known to the Greeks as Hermes, the messenger god... protector of athletes, thieves, travelers and merchants... He is the god of the unexpected, of luck, of coincidence, of synchronicity. Whenever things seem fixed, rigid, 'stuck,' Mercury introduces fluidity, motion, new beginnings - and the confusion which inevitably precedes new beginnings.

What type of learning best suited you as a child growing up?

The element that Mercury can often give insight and clues into the way a child (or adult) thinks.

A child with Mercury located in the element of fire will (barring other factors in the chart) avoid too much reflection and pondering, thus often only leaping forward with learning when highly enthused and inspired. However, in so doing, they could find it hard to learn some of life's harder and/or duller "lessons".

With Mercury in Leo, you tend to be enthusiastic in your quest for knowledge. You're quite proud of your learning abilities and achievements, and believe in the saying that learning is fun. You may have a tendency to be a know-it-all.

Daily life is generally your best teacher. Your daily routine is typically going to be busy and stimulating. You may be interested in learning about health, more particularly the relationship between the mind and the body.

OPPOSITION JUPITER Orb 1°28' Separating
You are prone to making mountains out of molehills. You struggle at times to keep a balanced viewpoint, but can become a wee bit too fanatical in pursuit of your beliefs.

OPPOSITION SATURN Orb 7°00' Separating
You have difficulty expressing yourself. As a child you believe your father was critical and judged you lacking in intelligence. You may have experienced limitations and difficulties in early schooling experiences. As an adult you have trouble believing in your ability to communicate and in your ability to stand up for your own beliefs.

SQUARE NEPTUNE Orb 6°16' Applying
You may experience difficulty effectively utilizing your powers of discrimination. Your own thoughts and opinions can often (at inopportune times) become vague, confused, and difficult for you (and others) to pin down. If you can work on being a wee bit more practical - then your innate creative and artistic nature can start being more effectively expressed in your life.

With Venus in Cancer, you place emphasis on family relations. You will form strong emotional bonds within your own tribe. You may have an emotional need for financial security.

You are able to express yourself with creativity and fun, and enjoy the company of children. You may find that you have an urge to express yourself through artistic avenues.

QUINCUNX JUPITER Orb 0°55' Separating
You like to have the approval of other people. You need to make adjustments in your life so that you can be generous and warm-hearted regardless of others' opinions.

SEXTILE URANUS Orb 6°31' Separating
Ooooh..... Hold on, cause this is a tricky one..... Venus denotes (greatly oversimplified) relationship and Uranus denotes independence and freedom. When these two planets get together in the natal chart -- the way their energies are "played out” depends upon how "aware" you are of these inborn two basic needs.

Have you learned (over the course of time) how to synthesize and/or balance both your need for relationship and your need for independence? With this aspect, it's fairly typical to identify EITHER with the relational energy of Venus OR the independent energy of Uranus.

If you've chosen to identify with Venus and deny Uranus, and then you may repeatedly, compulsively attract individuals into your life who "play out" the part of Uranus. You may attract lovers who are incredibly electric and exciting -- but are also incredibly undependable and need their "freedom."

On the other hand -- if you identify with freedom loving Uranus and deny Venus, then you may continually attract individuals into your life who "play out" the part of Venus. Then you end up playing the part of the incredibly electric and exciting lover, who's also incredibly undependable and needs their "freedom."

Neither of these scenarios sounds very satisfying to me. How about you?

The key to your satisfaction is your own personal level of awareness regarding your two conflicting needs. The trick is in learning how to balance your need for relationship without letting go of your need for independence.

The excellent news is that since these two planets are sextile in your birth chart, you'll generally have an easier time of reconciling these two conflicting energies than someone having a "harder" aspect between these two planets will have. In fact, you may not even have a clue as to why I've just made such a big deal over this energy combination!

TRINE NEPTUNE Orb 6°48' Applying
You are likely going to be a sensitive and gentle partner. You are artistic and creative and enjoy sharing your talents with your loved ones. You have compassion and understanding for other people.

SEXTILE PLUTO Orb 5°11' Applying
Here's one of your gifts from the universe (if you choose to use it).... You are an intense and committed partner. You place importance on relationships and require a similar commitment from your partner. Venus touching Pluto is a very powerful and seductive energy. It is the image and power of the mythological Medusa. The Medusa was the most beautiful of the three Gorgon sisters. The Gorgons were three ladies who had writhing, venomous snakes growing out of their heads and who turned men into stone just by looking at them! In spite of their monstrous condition, the sisters were terrifyingly beautiful and seductive to behold. No man encountering the infamous Gorgons (knowing it was instant death) could avert his gaze from the terrifyingly beautiful Gorgon sisters...

With this image in your chart, you can at times be unreasonable, demanding, and controlling in your expectations of the people around you. Dramatic crisis and intensity may also tend to play a key role in your most personal relationships. You are disappointed when others fail to soar to great emotional heights and plummet the emotional depths by your side. On a more positive note you are fiercely loyal and committed with an ability to fight any injustice.

However, the really good news is that as you grow older and (hopefully) wiser, you will have opportunities in learning how to positively redirect and transform these powerful and seductive energies into some sort of demanding, but positive and creative pursuits. You see… when the Medusa's head was ultimately severed from her body at the neck, the beautiful powerful winged horse Pegasus sprang out of the wound.

Another image that might be helpful is that of the Kundalini coiling snake energy of some Eastern traditions. Kundalini can be described as a great reservoir of creative energy originating at the base of the spine. The image of a coiling snake communicates and puts forth the notion of vast untapped energy. With the "awakening" of this energy, according to a least one yogi: "Kundalini cures you, she improves you, and she bestows all the blissful things upon you. She takes you away from the worries of the grosser level."

If you think about for just a second… it's a pretty awesome image and privilege. I have a similar image and theme in my life, and so I must admit that coming to grips with this powerful energy is much easier said than done. However, it's in your (and my) best interest to learn how to use it wisely.

TRINE CHIRON Orb 3°31' Applying
You display a childlike innocence, that in turn tends to make you vulnerable to emotional pain. You may have experienced pain and rejection in early relationships, but this pain can be healed giving, later in life, giving you insight and wisdom in personal relationships.

You above all else can develop the ability see the beauty in those people who have been cast aside by others in life, and even develop the ability to become a (official or unofficial) teacher or healer in intimate relationships. You have a talent for seeing the beauty in your loved ones and helping them heal their psychological wounds and realize their full potential.

You will typically pursue your personal desires in a practical and methodical manner. This is how you get what you want. You may be critical of others when opposed.

You earnestly seek power in joint ventures. You also probe into the deeper meaning of the cycles of life. You are likely to have strong sexual urges.

TRINE SATURN Orb 2°45' Applying
Perhaps the best way to describe Mars-Saturn aspects is that it's like driving a car with the brakes on. When Mars seeks to assert, Saturn speaks up and cautions: Hold on now.... are you sure you want to do that? Are you good enough? Do you deserve it? What would your mother say?

However, once you do manage to take your heavy foot off the brakes, then you can diligently persist at whatever the task is. Being as Mars and Saturn are in “easy” aspect to one another, later in life self discipline will come easily to you. You will always tend be a good worker and under control.

You are a seeker of the new and inspirational. You hold racially-inclusive values, and tend to be a humanitarian.

You seek meaning and inspiration in life from a well deep within yourself. In life's most despairing moments you have the ability to dig deep into your well of optimism.

You have what could be considered an ideal blend of enthusiasm and structure. You work well within a structured system and therefore can do well in business. Your approach to religion is usually conventional.

SQUARE NEPTUNE Orb 7°44' Separating
You are artistic and talented but need to learn self discipline if you are to make something of it. You may be careless with your possessions and need to learn to handle money. Don't speculate.

You are conservative and authoritarian, and likely have strong worldly ambitions. You are a responsible worker.

You fear anything hidden. This may be because you feel that your own boundaries are constantly threatened. A serious examination of hidden realms may help you to conquer your fears.

QUINCUNX URANUS Orb 0°03' Applying
You are torn between the old and the new and may not immediately see how they can blend. You will learn to adjust to a new way of thinking. Until that time you may find that you change jobs often.

Uranus spends a long time in each sign and was in the sign of Aries from 1956 to 1962. Since it spends such a long time in each sign, the sign interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation look at the house position and aspects to Uranus. This is the generation which seeks the freedom of individual expression. True individual creativity becomes important, particularly through culture and the arts.

You have a need for unconventional relationships. Freedom within relationships will also be important to you. You will learn about your own individuality through unusual relationships. It could be that you may be unconsciously seeking out partners who can live out Uranus (independence) for you. If the other person doesn't naturally embody the characteristics of Uranus, then you may unconsciously do things and act in ways almost iron-clad guaranteed to draw out the qualities of Uranus (independence) in the other person.

Your destiny is linked with the discovery of new and exciting thoughts and concepts. You need to make sure that you do not seek excitement at all costs, but direct your energies wisely. You are being challenged to make a contribution to humanity.

Neptune spends a long time in each sign and was in the sign of Scorpio from 1955/57 to 1970. Neptune takes about 164 years to make its way around all twelve signs of the zodiac. Since it spends such a long time in each sign, the sign interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation look at the house position and aspects to Neptune. Neptune ushers in trends and fashions.

Members of your generation will at first face a battle between their physical desires and their desire for a more spiritual way of life. Let's hope your generation will "get a clue" and then be the first of many generations to discover that true wholeness is not a choice of one (physical) or the other (spirituality). Then your generation will come to truly know of the value of regeneration rather than stagnation. End of sermon.... This generation may end up playing a transformative role in the world.

Each of us has an area in our lives where we're simultaneously inspired and lost. It's a place where we see but don't see. That's Neptune's house. In Neptune's house we may find that we are prone to loss and disappointment. On the other hand Neptune's house can be a place of imagination, wonder, and beauty... lit from within by our soul's longings and desires.

With Neptune in this house, chances are that you have a devotional attitude to higher learning, and you feel the distinct need to search for the "perfect" philosophy. You may be disappointed with the realities of study, foreign travel, and religion.

SEXTILE PLUTO Orb 1°37' Applying
You belong to a generation which may be able to bring about real, powerful, social changes. Yes! You, too, can be a part of this growing movement for positive changes in government and human rights. Problem is, this generation could just as easily get lazy and let the opportunity to make these momentous changes pass them by. The paranormal and the occult (occult just means "hidden") are more easily given credence than has been the case in recent generations.

TRINE CHIRON Orb 3°17' Separating
You have a gift for understanding people and lending a caring hand in their times of troubles. Your sensitive and accepting nature encourages people to tell you their heartfelt problems. You may be drawn to the spiritual side of life.

Pluto spends a really long time in each sign and was in the sign of Virgo from 1956/57 to 1972 Slow poke Pluto takes about 248 years to make its way around all twelve signs of the zodiac. Since it spends such a long time in each sign, the sign interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation look at the house position and aspects to Pluto.

Pluto ushers in upheaval and transformation. This generation may possess the ability to transform the way the world sees health. Medical research, world-wide diseases, medical discoveries, and the links between mind and body will most likely be the central focuses for this health conscious generation.

You will experience deep transformation through relationships. Your relationships may change, or you may grow and change within relationships. You may tend to attract lovers into your life who are powerful and/or controlling.

If your partner doesn't naturally embody the characteristics of Pluto, then you may unconsciously do things and act in ways that are almost iron-clad guaranteed to draw out the qualities of Pluto (control) in the other person.

OPPOSITION CHIRON Orb 1°39' Separating
As part of your generation, you may find that you struggle with the darker side of life, feeling overcome by passions such as envy, greed, lust, and jealousy. You do not understand from where these destructive thoughts emerge, but are aware that the more you try to push them to one side the more they grow in magnitude.

Your lesson is to delve into your past, recognize past feelings of rejection, and to transform your newfound understanding into positive outlets. You may become a powerful healer, or attract powerful healers into your own life.

In Greek mythology Chiron was a centaur. Centaurs were creatures that had a horse's body and legs, yet they had a human's torso and arms. As a rule, these half-horse, half-human Centaurs had the reputation for being wild and unbridled critters, being primarily known for their insatiable sexual appetites. They belonged to the wild "Dionysian crowd." You know - the sort of unsavory folks your parents warned you about hanging out with (so they fascinated you all the more). And, for the most part, centaurs weren't exactly on very friendly terms with mortals.

The centaur, Chiron, was the exception to this centaurian rule. Chiron was known as a wise teacher, healer and prophet. The Greek mythology encircling the figure of Chiron, The Wounded Healer, is of great assistance in acquiring a deeper understanding of the energies reflected by the Chiron in our sky. In the birth chart, Chiron reflects the archetypal energies of the shamanic wounded healer and teacher who potentially lives within each one of us. Chiron's placement in the birth chart reflects an accidental wounding we received (most often, but not always, in early childhood). This Chironian wounding is an injury to our instinctual nature and a wounding of trust.

The wounding was generally brought about as the result of a stupid, careless, thoughtless accident... so normally there's no one who can be blamed with purposely, intentionally, maliciously wounding us. The wounding was generally done by someone close to us... someone we thought well of and trusted.

So the wounding is a wounding of trust... And, further... a Chironian wound is an injury that will never, ever totally heal. We learn, suffer, and ultimately grow in soul from dealing with this sensitive area of wounded instinct and trust... but the wounding will never totally heal and go away.

This Chironian wounding can, later in life and after much personal struggle, then become a special area where we can help others by the sharing of our healing and teaching abilities.

With Chiron in Pisces you may find that you have difficulty gaining your own sense of individuality. You have an innate ability to feel others' pain and may find that you need to occasionally detach yourself from others. You may also suffer from your own deep and personal grief. You may work for or serve within a healing institution.

You are wounded, either emotionally or physically. Every time you express your essential being you experience rejection. This may lead to self-exploration and you may later become a wounded healer or teacher.

You feel your destiny is linked with easing other people's suffering, probably after facing the painful side of your own life. It may reflect an ongoing tendency on your part to become involved with relationships which bring your deeper pains, wounds and hurts up to the surface so that they can be understood and integrated. You may suffer from physical illness, possibly altering the course of your life. You may be a skilled healer or wise teacher.

The Ascendant is your guide on the hero's journey through this lifetime. With Aquarius on the Ascendant, others see as being gregarious, unconventional, original, and objective. You tend to view life from an intellectual stance and perspective.

You have the ability to develop new and original ideas and projects, particularly when working with groups of people. The element of air.... stimulated mentally, detached perspective.... motivated and recharged by intellectual concepts, social interchanges and the communication of ideas and/or ideals.... the element of air (barring other factors) tends to produce a fairly active mind. The world is approached with reason and everything (everyone) is open to analysis. Aquarius generates a friendly, people-oriented mental energy.

Unconventional, friendly, unpredictable and innovative are all characteristics of Aquarius. Aquarius thrives on originality and may be a wee bit rebellious. Aquarius values life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Aquarius values humanity and the world of detached intellect. And inventive Aquarian energy (at its best) is channeled through creative theoretical constructs which can be used for the purpose of bringing about the greater social good.

Aquarius and Love (written to share with your mate, if you dare)
Your Aquarius lover will be a wonderful and engaging friend. Aquarius can be (when he or she decides to kick up their heels) a wildly exciting, fun, and exhilarating partner when it comes to a special "wild night out on the town" or when doing something of an original, bizarre, and/or unexpected nature. But taking long romantic walks under the moonlight, quietly sipping wine, and holding hands while engrossed in intimate conversation during candlelit dinners? No, I don't think so.

It's best that Aquarius' lover understands upfront that Aquarius, barring other factors in the chart, tends not to be comfortable in close, intimate, and personal one to one settings and/or - for that matter - "relationships." Personal relationships and "intimacy" have a tendency to get "emotionally messy," and Aquarius can become extremely awkward when it comes to experiencing anything that even vaguely smells of the "emotionally messy."

Aquarius enjoys keeping things light and easy. Aquarius may likely view any displays of emotion as being weakness in character. In particular, Aquarius is normally aghast at any public displays of sentimental emotion and/or feeling. Therefore, Aquarius is not generally recommended as someone who you will want to seek out for emotional support and/or to have a good cry on their shoulder.

Your Aquarius lover is normally not going to be the most "touchie," "feelie," "snugglely" partner on the planet. Aquarius is associated with the element of air - and, as such, Aquarius may not be completely in touch and comfortable with his or her own body. Aquarius may even turn on and turn off his or her sexuality like a light switch.

It's fascinating to me, that each year, we celebrate love and lovers on February the 14th while the Sun is traveling through the Zodiacal Sign of Aquarius. Down through the centuries, Valentine's Day has progressively grown more and more associated with the friendship qualities of Aquarian love.

Your Aquarius lover is, in fact, the most comfortable with friendship love. Aquarius tends to generate a friendly, people-oriented mental energy. Unconventional, friendly, unpredictable and innovative are all characteristics of your Aquarius lover. Aquarius thrives on being unique, original, may even be considered a wee bit eccentric.

Aquarius values humanity as a whole and enjoys living in a world of detached intellect and ideals. Aquarius values life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Aquarian energy (at its best) is channeled through creative theoretical constructs which can be used for the purpose of bringing about the greater social good. In plain simple language that means Aquarius shines best when reaching out for their high and lofty ideals. Your Aquarius approaches the world with a sense of cold hard logic and reason - and everything (everyone, including you) is open to his or her analysis.

Shadow: Aquarius can become the prototype of the "mad scientist" who becomes so consumed with and bent on creating something new and original, that he or she refuses to look at the consequences involved. In the pursuit of his/her ideals, Aquarius may remain blind to the Pandora box of deadly plagues that's about to be opened.

The further temptation of Aquarius is the tendency to become the archetypal "Iceman" of the Zodiac. Aquarian love can then become icy, cold detachment and total isolation... with the "Iceman" forever escaping into the safety of his/her own high ivory tower of intellect and lofty ideals. The detachment of your Aquarius lover then becomes a safe tower where no one can ever again touch (and hurt) the "Iceman"...

With your Ascendant in Aquarius, the Ruling Planet of your chart is the planet Uranus. So pay a little extra attention to the description of Uranus in your chart (Sign, House, and Aspects).

By the way... I wish I had a nickel for every time someone told me 'that can't be my Ascendant, I'm not like that!' Often the Ascendant's energies are so close to us that we're the last ones to recognize it. Give it some time to grow on you....

"Mission Impossible"

The North Node describes a special quest and/or assignment in an area of personality growth development that we are given by the Universe. I might as well tell you up front that our North Node Quests are NOT easy. In fact, for the most part, your North Node Quest is NOT going to be something that you find fun, enjoyable, and/or palatable.

Normally, the North Node Quest is NOT something that you especially want to do and/or that you're particularly "good at." The North Node Quest is most generally going to be an area of life and/or a behavior style that you're (spoken gently) rather lousy at. But hey... it builds character! All in all, I guess you might say that the North Node Quest is your very own "Mission Impossible."

This is a quest to develop your inner strength. You may find that you experience times of loneliness. These times are part of your lesson to forge your own creative life in order to give generously to the world.

Okay now, I don't want to hear any grumbling in the chorus. Easing up on you for a just a second... the truth is... most folks are never fully able to accomplish their North Node Quest. Would it help if I confessed that I'm not currently doing all that well on my North Node Quest? My only suggestion is: just try not to blow it TOO badly... (This page will self-destruct in 10 seconds.)

This is a quest for right relations. You need to let go of ego-centered actions and devote your life to others.

You have an intense need for recognition in your work. Your ability to dig deep is brought to your professional life, and you may attract crises at work. Research and public resources often feature in your chosen career.

The Midheaven forms the 10th house cusp in most house systems, so this placement means less than diddley.

When you are flowing with self-propelled energy you will experience the most joy and fulfillment. You will find achievement and sense of completeness in using your willpower to achieve your goals.

Your life is enriched through developing a set of values. Your lesson is to detach from others' values and build a firm set of your own spiritual values.
