Problem: After clicking "Checkout" you receive a message similar to this: "The recipient of this shopping cart link is not an approved shopping cart user. Please review your selection and try again. ".

Solution: The shopping cart Dr Z uses is Paypal. Your problem could be a couple of things - but the most likely thing is that you don't have cookies enabled in your web browser.

Your web browser must be configured to accept 'cookies' to access most secure websites, including PayPal. Error 3014 and 3005 indicate that you must enable cookies on your browser.

Enabling Cookies

In order to complete the Paypal checkout process, your browser must be set to accept cookies. Cookies allow you to store your login details so that you can access the site. Enabling cookies should only take about 20 seconds.

Settings for Internet Explorer 6.x

  • Select " Tools | Internet Options... " from the tool bar on the browser.
  • Select the " Privacy " tab
    • Adjust the privacy slider control on the left to no higher than the "medium" setting.
    • Click the " Advanced " button.
    • On the Advanced screen, click the checkbox to "Override automatic cookie handling"
    • Next, click the radio button to "Accept 1st party cookies", then click the checkbox to "Always allow session cookies".
    • Click " OK "

Settings for Internet Explorer 5.x

  • Select " Tools | Internet Options... " from the tool bar on the browser.
  • Select the " Security " tab
    • Click " Custom Level "
    • Scroll down to the " Cookies " section.
    • Set " Allow cookies that are stored on your computer " to " Enable ". Set " Allow per-session cookies " to " Enable "
    • Click " OK "

Settings for Internet Explorer 5.x (Mac OS 9)

  • While Internet Explorer 5.x is open, click " Edit " on the Apple Menu Bar. From the edit menu, click " Preferences ".
  • Under " Receiving Cookies " click " Cookies ".
  • In the " When Receiving Cookies " drop-down menu, click the option you want. In order to shop on the Crucial Web site, you need to set your browser to accept cookies.

Settings for Internet Explorer 4.x

  • Select " View | Internet Options... " from the tool bar on the browser.
  • Change to the " Advanced " tab.
    • Scroll to the " Cookies " selection and click " Always accept cookies "
  • Next, select the " General " tab.
    • Click on the " Settings " button in the " Temporary Internet Files " section.
    • Under " Check for newer versions of stored pages: ", select " Every visit to the page ".
    • Click " OK "
  • Click " OK "

Settings for Internet Explorer 3.x

  • Select " View | Options... " from the tool bar on the browser.
  • Select " Advanced "
  • Make sure the check box for " Warn me before accepting cookies " is NOT checked.
  • Click " OK "

Settings for Netscape Communicator 6.x

  • Select " Edit | Preferences... " from the main menu.
  • Click on the plus (+) to the left of " Advanced ".
  • Click on " Cookies " from the list of options beneath Advanced.
  • On the right, select " enable all cookies "
  • Next, select " Cache " under " Advanced " menu.
  • Under " Compare the page in the cache to the page on network: ", select the option "Every time I view the page."
  • Click " OK " to accept these changes, then try again.

Settings for Netscape Communicator 4.x

  • Select " Edit | Preferences... " from the main menu.
  • Select " Advanced "
    • Select " Accept all cookies "
  • Select " Cache " under " Advanced "
    • Select " Every Time " under " Document in cache is compared to document on network "
  • Click " OK "

Settings for Netscape Communicator 4.x (Mac OS 9)

  • With Netscape Communicator 4.x open, click " Edit " on the Apple Menu Bar. From the edit menu, click " Preferences ".
  • Click " Advanced ". In the cookies section, select " Accept all cookies " and click " OK "

Settings for Netscape 3.x

  • Select " Options | Network Preferences... " from the main menu.
  • Change to the " Protocols " tab.
  • Check " Accepting a Cookie " under " Show an Alert Before "
  • Click " OK "

America Online Version 7.0

  • Select " My AOL " from the tool bar.
  • Select " Preferences " from the menu.
  • Click the " Internet Properties (WWW) " link.
  • Select the " General " tab.
    • Click on the " Settings " button in the " Temporary Internet Files " section.
    • Under " Check for newer versions of stored pages: ", select " Every visit to the page ".
    • Click " OK "
  • Select the " Privacy " tab
    • Click " Advanced " button in the " Custom Levels " section.
      • Check the " Override automatic cookie handling " box.
      • Select " Accept " for " First Party Cookies "
      • Select " Accept " for " Third Party Cookies "
      • Check " Always allow session cookies. ".
    • Click " OK "
  • Click " OK "

America Online Version 5.0

  • Select " My AOL " from the tool bar.
  • Select " Preferences " from the menu.
  • Click the " WWW " icon.
  • Select the " General " tab.
    • Click on the " Settings " button in the " Temporary Internet Files " section.
    • Under " Check for newer versions of stored pages: ", select " Every visit to the page ".
    • Click " OK "
  • Select the " Security " tab
    • Click " Custom Level "
    • Scroll down to the " Cookies " section.
      • Set " Allow cookies that are stored on your computer " to " Enable ".
      • Set " Allow per-session cookies (not stored) " to " Enable "
    • Click " OK "
  • Click " OK "
